Hadouken! live… meh. They were good, but nothing can top seeing them at a New Years eve gig in a tiny pub with The Whip and Does It Offend You supporting. Really enjoyed Tubelord live, although slighty weird. Bassist was having way too many seizures to be taken seriously. Hadouken! seem to me to be unable to shake the absolute choons on their EP. That Boy That Girl defines an entire sound and is an anthem for slightly underage teenagers abusing their parent’s home to have Skins parties. We’ve all been there. They definitely have a ‘generation’ thing going on. I commend them for that. Was great to see Lewis again, regardless. Best bit of the night was overseeing an old man use Twitter on his iPhone to write, in the middle of the gig I might add; “Hadouken!? More like Fuckdouken!”. PURE. OLD MAN. GOLD.
