Very fortunately got to spend a week working at Passion Pictures. It’s more notable for its animation credentials but has a wealth of great documentaries under it’s belt, some prolific ones at that.
Had an interesting week. I worked mainly on a press push for a new documentary film but did the odd run about too. Lovely people and cool place. Will be going back to do some office running hopefully. Also had a good time with the director I was working for as well.
Met an editor who is going to get in contact with a couple of the better editing studios for me about doing some running for them so looking forward to that slotting in to place. Editing is something I hope to be able to fall back on, so getting my face around is much needed.
Got my stationery fix at Muji. Hell yeah.
Working on a few new projects at the moment, need to flex my directorial mind a bit, but really looking forward to the future, whatever it brings.
Got talking to an illustrator (due to her awesome personal style) about getting a cartoon logo/doodle I have wanted done for an age for my identity/site/cards, so hopefully that comes together well and with it my website. I am currently hunting to make a super short doc to be a main pull for my site - something poignant and shot beautifully, thinking cap on and ears up.
